Hi there, my name is Maryah but my friends call me Myaah or Myaahbaby. I am seventeen years of age and someone who is fond of sports: Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. I plan on becoming a Correctional Officer. My life has been filled with many ups and downs but I consider myself as a very strong person, emotionally, physically and mentally. I manage to keep my head up high and change in ways so I can better myself and create a brighter future.
My biggest motivator in life is my mom, Marissa Esquivel. I honestly do not know what I would do without her. She has been there for me through the thick and thin, through the good and bad. So far I have managed to keep calm, stay sane and keep things to myself now a days because I have learned that people... come and go. I've learned many things in life so far the hard way which turned me into a less naive person. My freshman year I considered half of my 2016 class "friends", but now I realized that "friend" is a strong word and it should be used with delicacy.
As I grow older I tend to understand what my mom has always said, " Friends are hard to come by and not every acquaintance... is a friend." I never fully comprehended what she meant by that, but I now I know and I keep that in mind day after day. Do not get me wrong I currently have great friends who I believe will be there for a very long time, hopefully a lifetime and I sure am thankful for those few people including my mother and step dad.
Considering that people will gossip no matter what you do or say doesn't affect me anymore, because after high school... they will no longer matter. If you're like me, jealous, bitter people, never mattered. My family has high expectations for me but I do procrastinate in my school work which is a very bad habit... wish I never had! Overall, I'm becoming much better when it comes to finishing my work on time and focusing on my priorities. People describe me as a fun, social, and caring person because I'm always happy no matter what the situation is. Like they say, "When Life Hands You Lemons, Make some Lemonade. Life to me is like music to my ears... to sum it up... Life is my Jamba Juice.
