Near the Goodbyes
My winter break went well. I had a lot of fun spending time with my significant others and eating variety of foods. It was a great feeling gathering with the family from different cities and bonding with them. Reflecting on my first semester I loved being able to say, “We have one more semester left of high school”.
What I regret about last semester was letting little things that shouldn’t have mattered, distract me and having my priorities mixed up. As a matter of fact just the thought of this being my last semester has hit me.
It’s a bit stressful when you are a student-athlete because not only am I trying to get everything done ahead of time but I also have games and practices, which take up a lot of time. I’m managing very well though no doubt about it. I need to accomplish some work from last semester and finish my senior project before graduation.
My college applications are going great. I actually plan on attending Porterville College or COS for 2 years and playing volleyball for them, they asked me to play for them. I then plan on transferring to CSU Fullerton or San Jose State.
I most likely will get a job around the outlet area in Tulare or Visalia Mall. I’ve already talked to my friend who works at the mall and she said she will help me get a job there so I can have money and be set right after high school until I am ready to leave this area and move out of town within the next year or so.
